Stem cell therapy is particularly useful in treating osteoarthritis in cats and dogs, but is also used in healing ligament, bone, and spinal cord injuries as well as treating kidney and liver disease. Stem cells are collected from your pet and then injected into the affected area of the body, working to replace damaged cells with fresh and healthy ones.

Why would my pet need stem cell therapy?

Stem cell therapy has a number of benefits for animals. Stem cell therapy can reduce discomfort for your pet and restore their quality of life. The cells used are extracted directly from your pet, which greatly reduces the risk of their body having a reaction or rejecting the treatment altogether.

When should I consider stem cell therapy for my pet?

How does stem cell therapy work?

Once the condition of your pet has been properly assessed, stem cell therapy may be recommended by one of our veterinarians. Your pet will be put under anesthesia so that our veterinarians can collect fat cells taken from the abdomen or shoulder region. Once the fat cells have been collected, they will be taken to the laboratory for processing. Finally, the stem cells are carefully injected into the affected part of your pet's body as well as an IV injection to begin the path towards recovery.
